“hello”ice先和护士小姐打了招呼，“what are you talking about”
“i brought them some snacks yesterday today i just happened to ask them what they think（我昨天给他们拿了一些零食。今天刚好来问问他们的看法）”
“why？”看护士小姐脸上出现不解的神情，ice又说道：“i mean, why did you give them the food i remember that the hospital would not allow that”
“i picked all these carefully there are no unattended patients（这些都是我精挑细选的。无人照看的病人是没有任何东西的）”怕ice不明白，她又解释管方伟有单独的零食是因为看他是中国人，有些零食都有中文，猜他会喜欢，况且他现在吃这些对身体没有伤害，那里面是没有油炸、垃圾食品的。
ice听完觉得没问题，便让她离开了。
“oh！”她突然喊道。
二人都看着她，等着她下一句话。
“mrguan looks very negative if possible, i suggest he could go to other wards and chat with them there was also a child in a sickroom you can play with him（管先生十分消极。如果可以的话，我建议他可以到其他病房和他们聊天。有个小朋友也是单独的病房。你可以找他玩）”说完，二人都没有回话，她也识趣地离开。
她走后，ice坐下来，一副审问的模样，说：“are you familiar with her？
“no…maybe she is warm-hearted”
“you can go out for a walk you can also chat with the kid”
“thanks”
“if you really want to thank me, just work hard”说罢，把管方伟新改的程序又拿了出来，告诉他哪里需要再改进。

ice刚想问他什么意思，他接着说：“every time you e to me, then you go back to see them operate don"t you get bored（你每次来找我，回去要看他们操作。你不会烦吗？）”

“i will think about it now i will take you for a walk”ice没正面回答，他心里已经有数了。
“ok”
说罢，ice让人拿来一个轮椅，管方伟坐上轮椅，ice推着他走着。
路过那位小朋友的病房时，管方伟突然叫停，他转头对ice说道：“can i talk to her”
ice先进了房间里，里里外外检查了一遍，发现没其他人，孩子的名字叫hope，除了让他有点发笑以外，倒很正常。
“hi”ice对hope打了个招呼，说：“where is your families？”
“i don"t know”她一点畏惧也没有，直视他的眼睛，答道。
“you are brave”
她没说话，ice也走开了。
“she doesn"t get along well”ice对管方伟说道。
管方伟倒不在乎，接着说：“she is pure i don"t like to talk to mature adults…but you”
“okhave a good time”
ice把他推进来便走了。
二人面面相觑都不说话，他被盯得不好意思了，把脸转了过去。
“why did you e to my room”她问道。
“i am bored”
“my name is hope”
“what a hopeful name！”
“would you like to appreciate my dolls？”
“my pleasure”
她跳下床，在床底下拉出一个破旧的纸箱，然后从中拿出三个精致的洋娃娃放在他腿上，一双大眼睛看着他，等待着他的夸奖。
他拿起洋娃娃，仔细观察了起来。
每一个都擦得很干净，有两个娃娃的头发已经被梳秃了，三个娃娃的衣服上都有血渍、破洞和缝补。

他本来想接着问，但看她年纪这么小，肯定啥也不懂，知道父母双亡对她打击已经够大了，他也不愿再让她回想起伤心往事。
可她讲起话却像久经风霜的小老太，她告诉管方伟自己的寿命也不长了，她之前装睡听到了医生说她的病情，但她觉得无所谓。一来她都家破人亡了，自己这么小，也不知道即使身体健康出院了，能去哪里、能做什么；二来她也没钱，医院也不会白白给她做手术，给她提供一个住宿已经很仁慈了；三来……她没有再说下去了，而是低头把玩娃娃的头发。
聊天期间，他走神了一次，瞥见了ice半个身影在外面，他知道ice对自己放心不下，好在听了一会就走了，也对，一个小女孩能有什么能力把自己拯救出去呢！？
趁着她上厕所的功夫，他谨慎地打开了护士小姐递来的纸条，上面也没文字，像是一个小型地图，出发点也不知道在哪，终点画着一个五角星……他不能理解她想表达什么。
但护士小姐总不会平白无故给自己送张纸条，画着奇形怪状的图画，她这么做一定有她的道理！等明天她来，一定要问问她。
